We spent about ten minutes of our environmental Conservation discussion talking about the proposal to list feral cats as an unprotected species is Wisconsin. I'm for it, but I'm against the rider on the bill that allows for trapping of large cats (mostly as a gut reaction since I don't have any real facts on the matter).
Apparently the issue is getting national attention despite similar laws in a number of neighboring states including Illinois and good ol' Minnesota. I just stumbled across CNN's story about it on their main page.
