I just finished
Thomas Pynchon's
The Crying of Lot 49, my first novel from the author. I liked it; my most significant critcism is its brevity, for found myself done before I had a chance to make myself at home among its pages. This shouldn't be a problem with his newest novel, however:
Against the Day, due out Tuesday, boasts a thousand pages (slightly more or less, depending on which sources you believe).
